Welcome to exhibition opening and book launch on Tuesday October 4th from 5-7 PM.

Photojournalist Timo Kirves (1939-2021) worked as a photographer for over 60 years. He is best remembered for his photographs of people. In his last years he was enchanted by Havanna and travelled there three times to photograph. He started working on a photography book based on those pictures but the work was left unfinished when he passed away in May 2021.

Havanna Mix takes the viewer to the sweltering streets and sweaty bars, to the people.

The book is published by Musta Taide and it is designed by Jorma Hinkka. Book has been supported by JOKES - foundation and Patricia Seppälä Foundation.
