Involuntary Hermits - Meetings
Susanna Lyly describes her upcoming photography exhibition : " I started photographing people who were living alone and got isolated due to Covid-19 pandemic in April 2020. I documented these random meetings. I photographed people in environments which were significant to them. Some got energy from nature, some wandered around the empty city streets. All of them missed other people. For most of them, living alone was hard, some were finding it little easier.
I photographed around Finland, meetings and closeness, new normal and small moments of togetherness. Last photos were taken in April 2021 when distancing and restrictions had returned once more. "
