Hannu Peltomaa (b.1941) in known to have done almost everything within the Finnish movie industry. He has worked as a director, cinematographer. editor and producer during a career that has spanned over six decades.

Laterna Magica's Cellar Gallery hosts a multi-faceted exhibition where installations meet moving pictures and photography as well as woodblock prints from Peltomaa's long career. The exhibition has photography from eight decades and moving pictures from six decades.

The themes in Peltomaa's work have been inspired by both the changes in natural world as well as the various aspects of human life.
