Resonance

Landscape is witnessed as a space but experienced in time. These images are relating the expanding and contracting time of stories and myths, paced by the footsteps of the witness, to the mechanical time: precise exposure times of the camera and immediacy of the digital image creation. They are experimenting with ways of leaving gaps and empty spaces in the landscape image where dreams, memories and thought can reside. The images created in Scotland, New Zealand and Hawaii are not of things unseen. The photographer has stood where others have been, just in a different time.

Exhibition consists of two series: Recurrence and Barren Lands, which have in parts previously been on show in Charles H. Scott gallery in Vancouver, Canada and in White Space gallery in Edinburghissa, Skotland
