Antti Närhi describes his thoughts behind the exhibition: " We tend to nostalgize the past and the memories attached to it. We felt we could do anything while young. Summers seemed longer, the parties were better. "Oh those summers of our youth"...and so forth. On the other hand we tend to question the choices of our younger days. Many recognize the phrase crazy youth and the omnipotence that came with it."

The exhibition in Laterna Magica tile and cellar galleries in October is called Boys of Summer and it tackles all the themes just mentioned: youth, getting old, those past summers and feeling of nostalgia. Antti Närhi has documented his friends at summer meetings for nearly fifteen years and on film he has caught both warmth and humor as well as the omnipotence of youth.
