Film director Risto Jarva (1934-1977) made two trips to Europe with his schoolmate Juhani Jauhiainen on a 125cc Vespa: in 1954 via France to Italy and in 1955 to Spain and Portugal. The third trip was made in a dilapidated Renault in 1959 via Yugoslavia and Greece to Turkey. These trips resulted in hundreds of photographs, from which the Risto Jarva Society has compiled an exhibition in the Tile and Cellar galleries of Laterna Magica.

The opening of the exhibition will be celebrated on the Night of the Arts on Thursday, August 14, from 5-7 p.m.
