"Each photograph is a tiny piece, a quantum, of innocence dissolved into a time that is gone."

          -unknown photographer

I am an amateur photographer from the Helsinki metropolitan area. Previously, I mainly photographed seascapes, but over the past ten years I have mostly photographed people on the streets of Helsinki. During the dark season, I mostly take dark images like the ones on display right now, where people appear as anonymous passersby, blurred figures. This is my third solo exhibition.

The images can be thought of as asking how sharply defined subjects we ultimately are; are we always fully in the driver's seat as we think, or are we also partly in the passenger seat? A bit like the resonance of an autumn flock of birds?

The images on display now are from 2021-2025.

Exhibition opening on Tuesday January 6th 2026 from 5-7 p.m.
