The exhibition opening will be celebrated on the Night of the Arts, August 20, from 5 to 7 p.m.

A curious, laid-back male figure moves through the city, busying himself with whatever strikes his fancy. The atmosphere is timeless, at times surreal. Osmo is independent; Osmo has time. Is Osmo free? At the very least, he is free from the expectations surrounding mature adulthood and the traditional male archetype.

The Osmo photo series is a rarely seen classic. It first appeared in Helsinki in 1989 and was last exhibited at the Mikkeli Centre of Photography in 2011. The monthly supplement of Helsingin Sanomat once featured Osmo in about ten of its issues. The series is also held in the collection of the Finnish Museum of Photography.
