A memorial exhibition for Marko Hellman, who passed away in November 2025, will be presented at Laterna Magica in early December. The opening of the exhibition will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 2, from 5-7 p.m.

Marko Hellman (1965-2025) was a photographer from Vantaa who made over 30 experimental, often unique gonzo artist books. The quickly executed works are a humorous and painfully light chronicle of the course of life. The images are printed using traditional techniques, either as silver gelatin prints or engravings. As a professional bookbinder, Hellman has given the works a rough but functionally finished book-artistic outfit. Hellman first appeared at Laterna Magica in 1990.
