My photos tell the story of what my world is like. I have been photographing myself for over ten years – first digitally, and about five years ago I switched to film. My photos are often set in deserted houses and abandoned yards. Places where there are traces of something past and future, where there is also room for silence and imagination.

Working with film requires concentration, consideration and time. That's why it feels so personal. I like the different stages of film: shooting, developing and printing in the darkroom. Each stage is part of the process where the image is created slowly and surely.

My pictures depict moments, feelings and boundaries. Through them I want to share a story – about the reality or unreality of one woman. About the voices, imaginations and visions of the mind.
