Simo Rista (1933-2021) was a photographer based here in Kruununhaka, Hlsinki. His path in photography started at the age of 14 in 1947. He began his career as a professional photographer in the 1960s and his multifaceted career included art photography, portraiture and architetcture photography. Simo Rista held over 50 exhibitions, many of them here in Laterna Magica's galleries. Thus we at Laterna Magica want to pay tribute to the legacy and work of Simo Rista with an exhibition curated by his partner of over 20 years, Hannele Salminen.
