Primavera! Oh lovely spring! Welcome to the opening of the spring exhibition by Toimela print workshop on Tuesday May 2nd from 5-7 PM. This group exhibition presents fine art prints from Toimela print maker courses which are lead by Sari Bremer. The exhibition covers several techniques used in fine art printing such as etching, aquatint, wood carving and carborundum.

The Helsinki Art School is an art school that provides basic art education for children and youths between the ages of 4 and 20. This year the graduating class presents works that include many meaningful themes that are visible in their world. The works present memories, ways of being, feelings, places, relationships between people and forms of life.

Opening and Book launch on April 4th from 5-7 PM in the Book Gallery space is photography by Edith Södergran (1892 –1923) in an exhibition Maailma on minun - The World is Mine. Södergran was a Swedish-speaking Finnish poet, one of the first modernists within Swedish-language literature and loved by generations of readers. Agneta Rahikainen and Eira Sillanpää have collected Södergran's poetry and photography into a book and an exhibition, which bears the name Maailma on minun - The World is Mine. The book comes out in two languages, Edith Södergrans mother-tongue Swedish and in translation in Finnish.

Exhibition Omia mea mecum porto - All that is mine I carry with me in Laterna Magica's Tile and Cellar Galleries consists of light art, installations and collages. Artists Jyrki Sinisalo and Mari Vallemaa both work in the Roihupelto art quarter and are also members in the art association Taidekortteli ry. The idea for this joint exhibition was born after visiting each others' studio spaces.  Meet the artists on the the last day of the exhibition Sat April 29 from 1-3 PM at the gallery. Warm welcome.
