Exhibitions

The works in Saara Kartimo's exhibition stem from strange tales, visions, and other "occurrences" recounted during Saara Kartimo’s childhood. These occurrences might involve, for instance, eccentric villagers, ghosts, or light phenomena; they were often described by Saara’s father, Pentti Kartimo, who spent his own childhood on the island of Hailuoto in the 1930s. Warm welcome to the opening reception of the exhibition on Tuesday October 27th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The photography exhibition is based on Olli Philippe Lautenbacher’s book La ville sans nom – Stadin kulkija – Translated Images (Musta Taide); the book will be launched at the exhibition opening at Laterna Magica’s Tile and Cellar galleries on October 27, 2026, at 5 p.m.
